This article walks through the in-app process of pairing a new system to your Canopy account. Canopy currently only supports one system per account. If you're trying to set up a second system, you will need to make a second account.
Provide Bluetooth Access
- Inside the Canopy app click Activation, this will direct you to the Bluetooth pairing steps. The Canopy Hub uses Bluetooth to connect to your phone.
- Enable Bluetooth Access. Click OK when asked to Allow Canopy to access Bluetooth.

Turn Bluetooth on. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is turned ON.
Pair the Hub
- To put your Hub in Pairing Mode, press and hold Canopy button on the hub for 3 seconds.
- Release the button once the Hub's Green LED light turns on. The LED on the camera will be blue when ready to pair, and will appear to be "breathing".
- Back in the app, select "Connect." The app will attempt to establish a connection with the hub.
If your device does not pair successfully, you may be prompted to manually enter your Serial Number. This can be found on the bottom of the Hub, or the back of your box.
Troubleshooting Connection Issues
If the app gets stuck on the "Connect" screen:
- Close the app and restart it.
- Ensure your Bluetooth is on and attempt to connect again.
- If connection problems persist, please contact Customer Support.
